Plattecon falls on February 23rd - 25th, and will be hosted in Ullsvik Hall, Velzy Commons.
Plattecon offers a wide variety of events, panels, and more for attendees of all ages to partake in. We have everything from a free to play video game room, public game library, Play-to-Win games, and much more.

Hotel Block Reservations:
Hotel Bookings are now available for Holiday Inn Express and Suites
We are happy to announce that room bookings can now be made at the Holiday Inn, with room rates at $159 plus tax. So if you are interested call them directly at 1-888-465-4319, by January 23rd. Upon making the reservation you must state you are with the Plattecon 2024. Guests are welcome to all amenities such as the Pool, fitness center, morning breakfast. and underground parking.
Hotel Bookings are now available for Country Inn & Suites
We were only able to get a limited amount of rooms with country inn, at a rate of $145 plus tax. So if you are interested act fast, and call them directly at (608) 348-7373, by January 23rd. Upon making the reservation you must state you are with the Plattecon group.
Ticket Prices
Ticket Sales are now open with Presale Badges are available until January 20th. Along with presale badges we also have the Plattecon Package which includes a playmat and Plattecon t-shirt for $35.

Plattecon Events
Friday Night Game Jam:
For the first time ever Plattecon will be hosting a rapid pace, board game Jam! Constants will have limited supplies and time to design a game.
Participants can signup at the front desk or at the event, in a group up to 3 people. Games will be judged after the design period, and awards/prizes given Saturday morning.
Mario Kart Tournament:
Mario Kart 8 tournament, open to all! The bracket is run double elimination, so you have to lose twice before getting removed.
Bringing setups/controllers is not required, but it may help speed things along. Prize provided for the winner.
Miniature Speed Painting Contest:
Bring your paints and brushes. We supply the mini and you get 90 minutes to paint it. Prizes for best painted models.
Cosplay Contest:
Plattecon is proud to host our annual cosplay/costume contest in which contestants will show off, judged, and awarded prizes based upon creativity, originality, effort, presentation and quality.

What is Plattecon?
Plattecon is a gaming convention that's hosted by the Platteville Gaming Association at the University of Wisconsin Platteville for over 30 years. As such remember that all the work done to get this convention going is done so by a dedicated group of college students using their free time.
Is there food?
Plattecon does offer free drinks, such as water and lemonade. We are also happy to announce that Campus Dinning will be running a food stand during dinning times at Plattecon to offer limited food and drink for sale to con goers, along with some vendors who sell snacks and drinks.
